You been gone so long; where you been for so long?

I left Hambone in Tucson Saturday a week ago to help Monkeyboy (who has a new blog) move all of his family's stuff to Stanford.
Life without you sucks, Hambone. The cats and the plants agree, BTW. I've been lying around like a sloth for days on end, only to realize this morning that part of why is that I haven't taken my prescriptions regularly! Stayed home from work today, because I was feeling puny in body and soul.
Finally got my resume updated, and am really happy with it. Thanks to my sis, EW, SCW, and Hambone for looking it over with/for me. Fired it out to one opportunity, and am looking to send it a couple more places in the next day or so.
Haven't posted regularly because, well, I feel behind in life, I guess. You know how you get when there are way too many things to stop and talk about them. Or maybe it's that there's a serious shame factor in not having it together.
The Old Bear has now had four operations on his retina, which keeps detaching. This last one required the doc to remove his lens. Argh. He's in tremendous pain, and has to do things like sleep face down for weeks on end, as well as become a couch potato during recovery. That's what Hambone's helping with now. She's taking care of him in Tucson. I'm so glad she's there, and am proud of her fortitude and endurance. But I miss the fire out of her.
