You Rappin' Good!

7.25.2007

Oh yeah: the planets are aligning, people. You can almost hear "Also Sprach Zarathustra" in the background.

Cult hit of the past meets cult phenomenon of the present, as Threadless is now soliciting t-shirt designs with a Parappa the Rapper theme. If you never played Parappa (literally, "paper-thin," referring to the 2D nature of the characters) on the Playstation, you missed a fantastically quirky, funny rhythm game that in many ways was a forerunner to games like Frequency and Guitar Hero.

Check out the Threadless Parappa page here!

Parte The Seventh

7.19.2007

Tomorrow night at midnight, we'll be there at the Magic Tree Bookstore in Oak Park to pick it up. Note that the seventh book comes out in the seventh month, on the 21st of the month. That number is of course a triple seven, and more importantly, it's the birthday of magical me.

Piers and WH are coming up tomorrow to help celebrate magical me, and they may also say hello to Hambone, the cats, and this whole HP thing in passing. But seriously, when magical me's on the scene, what more do you need?

Nothing, that's what! Bwa ha ha ha haaa!

Boy, are we looking forward to it. Our friends are coming to town! Our books are coming to town! I'll shortly be 36! I have Two Hearted Ale in the fridge!

It almost all makes up for the part in Deathly Hallows where Remus betrays Snape and Harry. I, for one, did not expect Fenrir Greyback to have that kind of control over his progeny. Talk about a twist end!

At long last, I picked up an Xbox 360: largely to play the greatest game ever made, Guitar Hero II. And I'm back on Xbox Live, after a hiatus of a few years.

I actually got the Xbox 360 Elite, as it's got a 120 GB hard drive, and comes with HDMI video support. Too bad my TV's nearly 15 years old now. Saving up!
